Is it free?
Yes. Signed in, you get 50 generations a day, and the count resets every day. There is no card and no trial timer.
Which AI apps does this work with?
Claude and ChatGPT are the two we test on every release. Cursor and Claude Code speak the same protocol and take the same URL, so they work too.
Do I need an API key?
No. You sign in with your FreeTTS.ai account, the same one you use on the website. Google works, or we email you a six-digit code.
Why do I have to sign in at all?
Because the clips are yours. Sign-in is what ties a generation to your account, keeps it in your dashboard, and stops someone else spending your daily balance.
Where do my files live?
In your FreeTTS.ai dashboard, with a permalink for each one. The card in your chat links straight to it, so nothing only exists inside a conversation.
Does long audio work in ChatGPT?
Short clips play right on the card. Anything longer opens on freetts.ai through the link instead. That is a limit in how ChatGPT passes data to a card, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
